Parking charges and fuel prices have long been a bugbear for motorists in Newark and its satellite villages. Many drivers opt to fill up in Lincoln, Grantham or Nottingham to avoid the high petrol prices, but parking in another town isn’t an option – so news that NCP is introducing a discount deal with Marks and Spencers will be very welcome.
The UK’s largest car park provider has announced a new partnership with M&S which will allow all their customers 50% off their parking at High St Lincoln and Newark St Marks Place car parks.
As well as this, NCP says they have also listened to customer feedback and extended the opening hours at High Street Lincoln multi storey car park to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will also charge just £1.50 after 5 pm up to 8am the following day in a bid to encourage people in to the city at night to visit the many bars, restaurants, cinema and theatre.
James Graham, ‘cluster manager’ at NCP said; “We are delighted to have agreed this incredible partnership with Marks and Spencer’s for a 50% discount for their customers. The £1.50 Night Rate at our High Street car park has been devised with a view to delivering strong and tangible support to the night time economy in Lincoln. It is no small gesture – NCP is in full support of local businesses and retailers and so has implemented these price deals along with a car park that is constantly open for business as a sign of our commitment to the community. We hope as many people as possible will take advantage of these fantastic savings, as well as enjoy the cheapest night rate Lincoln has to offer, and recognise NCP as a flexible parking option that will hopefully help bring people into town.”
