The Wiggins way inspires Newark riders

“Inspired by Bradley?” Newark Sustrans rangers pose the question but there are no gruelling mountain stages in the cycling charity’s ‘Tour de Newark’ next Sunday July 29.

“The pace will be just a bit different,” says volunteer ranger Alan Hudson. “There are two rides really. We will depart from Grove Sports Centre at 10am and all start off together, but one group will get back to the Grove for midday whilst those who feel up to a longer ride will be exploring the lanes to the south of Newark with, of course, a cafe or pub stop.”

Even tentative cyclists have no need to feel the burn. As Alan says: “Our motto is ‘nobody gets left behind.’”
